Itinerary

Day 1: Beijing 
Upon arrival in Beijing, you'll have a full 144 hours (about 6 days) to explore the city without the hassle of airport views. Your guide and driver will greet you at the arrival hall and transfer you to P.Loft Youth Hostel. The first day is for you to unwind and take things at your own pace.

Day 2: Beijing
Your day in Beijing begins with your guide meeting you at 8:00 AM at your hotel. Together, you'll navigate the city using local public transportation, starting with a visit to Tiananmen Square. As one of the largest cities squares globally, Tiananmen Square is surrounded by significant landmarks including the imposing Great Hall of The People, the enlightening National Museum, Chairman Mao’s solemn Mausoleum, and the Monument to the People’s Heroes honoring revolutionary sacrifices. From there, you'll walk to the nearby Forbidden City, the former imperial palace that housed 24 emperors over the Ming and Qing dynasties from 1420 to 1912. Your guide will lead you through its grand halls, courtyards, and gardens, providing insights into the lives of China's rulers. 

After exploring the Forbidden City, you'll have a break for lunch at a local eatery recommended by your guide. In the afternoon, you'll continue your journey via local bus or subway to the Temple of Heaven. Built in the early 15th century, this complex served as a sacred site where emperors prayed for bountiful harvests. Here, you'll immerse yourself in the tranquil ambiance and see local seniors engaging in traditional activities like tai chi. The architectural splendor of the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests will awe you as your guide explains its cultural and religious significance. After a fulfilling day of exploration, your guide will go with you back to your hotel, ensuring you've experienced the historical, cultural, and architectural highlights of Beijing in a comprehensive and memorable manner.
