Itinerary
Day 1: Luang Prabang to Khmu Homestay via the Longhut Trail
Today begins with a 30-minute drive to Nam Khan River, where you will cross and begin your ascent into the mountains. The full day's hike follows a 13KM trail through invigorating and at times technical portions of the jungle, via canyons, remote villages and small lakes. Expect to take roughly 6 hours in the dry season or 7-8 hours when it is wet.
You will arrive in the Khmu Village in the late evening, being welcomed by a warm meal prepared by your guide. Enjoy a drink with the locals if you wish, or spend the night taking in your surroundings.

Transportation: Luang Prabang to Nam Kham River by Loval Tuk Tuk or Songthaew
Accommodation: Local Homestay
Day 2: Tinpha Trail and Tad Sae Waterfall
After your breakfast begin a 1.5-2 hour trek to a Hmong Village and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains. When you are ready, continue downhill to another village on the Nam Khan River where you will board a boat to Tad Sae Waterfall. You may choose to have lunch at the village or by the waterfall. After visiting the waterfall return to the local boat that will take you back to your starting point where Tuk Tuk or Songthaew will be waiting to take you back to Luang Prabang.
