Itinerary
Day 1: Vang Vieng Kayaking (or Tubing) and Caving
This morning a local Songthaew will pick you up within Vang Vieng town and take you 18 kilometers north to Tham Xang Cave (Elephant Cave) on the banks of the Nam Song River. From here you will float through a system of caves on inner tubes before lunch. After a simple lunch you will begin a light kayak route down the river for a couple hours. Alternatively, tubes are also available for that portion of the trip. Feel free to make stops along the river every now and again to enjoy the peaceful scenery.
