Upon arrival, check-in with the rest of the day at leisure to explore the surroundings on your own

One of the three ancient cities within the Kathmandu Valley, Bhaktapur –also known as Bhadgaon– which translates to "city of devotees", boasts the most authentic medieval art and architecture in the Valley, making it a hub for traditional Nepalese wood carving. Bhaktapur is undoubtedly the most historically genuine among the valley's cities. Explore this enchanting city on your own (entrance fees not included, $15 per person) before continuing your drive back to Kathmandu.
