Backpacker Full Moon Party
Experience Koh Pha Ngan's world-famous Full Moon Party and stay in a lively dorm: an all-night beach party that takes place on Haad Rin beach on the night before or after every full moon. The first Full Moon Party was improvised back in 1985 at a wooden disco not far from the beach to thank what was then a group of only 20 travelers. It quickly gained fame through word of mouth, and the event now draws a crowd of about 20,000! The party carries on until the sun rises the next day and the bars on the sunrise beach of Haad Rin town stay open and play music such as R&B, drum and bass, house, dance and reggae.

| Special Information: | Many important Buddhist festivals in Thailand are held on the 1st and/or 15th of the lunar month. The 15th of the lunar calendar is the day when the moon is full, so sometimes the Full Moon Party can be changed while falling into a Buddhist holiday. ThereFour religious holy days on full moon day. During these dates, alcohol was forbidden to be consumed in the whole country, and for this reason (as well as respecting the Buddhist tradition) the full moon party committee postpone the party for the next day or one day in advance. |

Itinerary
Day 1: Welcome to Koh Pha Ngan
When you arrive at the pier, you can feel the vibe and the island atmosphere as young party seekers flock here to enjoy the world-famous full moon party. Jump in one of the many shared taxis or minivans and tell the driver that you are going to Sarana Bungalows (at your own expense). Upon arrival at Sarana Bungalows, check-in and make yourself comfortable. The rooms are comfortable – and a real party animal will stay in the sun and party all night, so no need to spend all your money on honeymoon suites. Your savings are better spent on some extra buckets on the beach, so kick back, relax and enjoy!

Day 2: Koh Pha Ngan
Today you will have the option of choosing between the following experiences:
1) Island Exploration: A trip around the island will be arranged and you will visit a waterfall and one of the island's sacred temples. For lunch, we'll picnic at one of the northern beaches where there is an opportunity for some good snorkeling or swimming.
2) The Island Discovery Jungle Trek: Trek to the waterfalls, a wonderful way to explore the wildness of Koh Phangan!
3) Thai Cooking Class – Learn to cook like a real Thai chef!
4) Muay Thai or Yoga Class - learn a new skill or practice your sets!

Day 3: Koh Pha Ngan
Today we must be active again, and you will again have the option of choosing your trip! Then it's back to Sarana Bungalows for another nice dinner and... the Full Moon Party!
